Adult Australian Labradoodles for Sale and Adoption
From time to time we have adult Australian Labradoodles for sale and adoption. If you are interested in this option, please let us know and we would be more than happy to let you know which adult Labradoodles we have that are older and ready to go to a new home.
What I find when people are asking for an older Labradoodle puppy is that many times they are looking for an adult Labradoodle that is well mannered and well trained. As you search, for your older dog, keep in mind what criteria you have: It is better to have a well mannered younger dog than an older one that has never learned proper family socialization and potty practices. Another thing that I find that people are looking for in an adult Australian Labradoodle is one that is a little more mature, in order to deal with young families or special considerations within a family.
We work hard for our puppy families to introduce their pet to them at the right time. With this in mind, we have come up with viable options for many families that want an Australian labradoodle, but cannot find the adult Australian Labradoodle that they are looking for. This option allows them to have a doodle that is anywhere from 3 months old to adulthood, but do not want to have the hassle and headaches of housebreaking, crate training and teaching their puppy manners or to give them time to have their own family ready for the puppy.
You may pick your puppy and we keep your puppy in our home until you feel that you are ready to have them transition into your home. That means they are part of our house and home! They are a part of our family until they come to you. There is a boarding charge until 6 months of age, when they are to go home. We teach them like we would teach any of our puppies that we would have kept back for ourselves, there is an introduction to crate training, potty training and of course they have family life all around them. This allows you to have the adult Labradoodle that you want, with the benefits of family life and knowing the puppy hasn't had multiple moves and is ready to attach to their forever family.
As well as keeping your puppy at our home for an additional month or more, we are more than happy to put you in contact with Jordan Fines, an animal behaviorist that we work very closely with for temperament testing. She is willing to work with our puppy families on a one-on-one basis. She is willing to take the puppies to puppy school and work with the puppy 24/7 and include those puppies as a part of her family for one month.
During your puppy's time with Jordan, your puppy will have completed their obedience training, their crate training, potty training and puppy classes. By the time you get your puppy, he/she will know their basic commands and have them WELL learned. They will be ready to transition into your family. Jordan also sends along a DVD of the training process for each command learned so you know what to expect and how to work with your puppy. If they have an oops, you will be able to remind them of what they know based on what they have learned. On the DVD it will show your puppy doing all the commands they have learned, to be a happy, well-mannered dog!
The cost for this option is discussed on an individual basis as each family's needs are different based on the time that the family wants training for.
